Studio 1 is the flagship studio at Lucky Man Studio, designed to deliver top tier recording experiences.
The tracking room measures 40 x 50 feet with a 25-foot ceiling, closely mirroring the dimensions of the iconic Abbey Road Studio 2, famously associated with The Beatles. The room has a decay time of roughly one second, giving it a lively, airy feel without excessive reverb, making it ideal for instrumental and choral work.
The tracking room also includes two isolation booths and an amp room:
Overlooking the live room, The Bistro serves as a VIP area for live events and an additional space for ambient microphones and video cameras during recording sessions. It features high-top tables and custom lighting, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests. A unique aspect of The Bistro is its tables, crafted from wood salvaged from the restoration of Langdon Hall, Auburn's oldest building. These tables feature laser-cut inlays of the Auburn University logo, tiger, and War Eagle, made from wood taken from the famous Toomer oak, offering a meaningful connection for Auburn alumni. This design symbolizes Lucky Man Studio's mission: honoring Auburn University's rich history while preparing students for future creative careers.
The Bistro Sessions are exclusive VIP live performances held in Studio 1. These sessions feature established artists performing in an intimate setting for about 40 guests. The artists perform on the main floor of the tracking room, with guests seated at tables around them, creating a close and personal experience. The performances are recorded in both audio and video, making the audience an integral part of the event.
Demonstrating our commitment to technological innovation, Lucky Man Studio is a strong advocate of Dolby Atmos recording technology. This cutting-edge technology offers a true 3-dimensional listening experience, with musical elements placed in front, to the sides, behind, and above the listener, creating an immersive sound environment. Descriptions of the experience often include terms like "stunning," "unbelievable," "transformative," and comments like "I don't want to listen in stereo again."
An enormous collection of world and orchestral percussion instruments are available upon special request. Taiko drum, timpani, orchestral chimes, conga, trash cans – you name it – it is probably here!
